Graham and her sculptor husband, Steph Davidson, died on September 1, 2003, from injuries sustained in a car accident on a highway near Pennsylvania, while returning from a craft show. Graham was pregnant with their first child. They lived in North Bennington, Vermont.

Graham Scarborough was talented, beautiful and kind. She and Steph continue to be remembered and missed by the people who loved them, in Vermont and in Texas.

Graham Scarborough was an exhibiting artist in Audart's "TNT" exhibition in the Spring of 1996. Twelve of her paintings and collages were shipped to New York for the show.  Graham, who had previously been criticized in the Texas press for showing paintings that contained nudity, was now receiving accolades from the same newspaper, for having her first exhibition in New York City.

Graham traveled from Texas to New York for the opening reception of "TNT" and arrived at the Audart Gallery filled with enthusiasm. The afternoon of the opening was busy but Graham was there, offering to help with everything.  She arranged the cheese table, insisting that I rest, and she did it in a most artistic way.  Before leaving the gallery to get ready for the evening ahead, she made sure everything was under control.
