Painting
by Wendy Gell
Wendy Gell is best-known for her sumptuous costume jewelry, particularly her "wristy" (a wide, bejewelled cuff bracelet), which she made famous and which has been worn by movie stars, supermodels and television personalities. Wendy and her jewelry have been featured on the Oprah Show, as well as numerous magazine covers, including Vogue. More than just a jewelry artist, however, Wendy Gell is also a painter and a mixed media collage artist. Wendy's work was featured in Audart's "Art In The Raw" exhibition in the Spring of 1997. The show was organized and curated by Christine Butler of The Butler Gallery in Connecticut.
