I wish to acknowledge all the artists who have sent messages to me about audartgallery.com.  Constructing an accurate archive of what took place at the Audart Gallery, including a complete list of all the artists who participated, has been of utmost importance to me, to ensure the posterity of the project that was Audart.  So thank you, everyone, for your encouraging words.  It has been wonderful to hear from so many of you again. 

A number of you have asked me to make changes to your pages on this website, including publishing new images of your work and updating your exhibition schedules, and I hope you will continue to do this.  If you conduct a search, via google, for your own name, you will find that your audartgallery.com page will come up very close to the top of the search results – so it is important that your page be kept updated, as other people who search for you online will be led to that page as well.

The set of circumstances in place, when we began Audart (in 1995), will never happen again. The internet was the bandwagon.  Everyone was scrambling to be a part of it; only to discover how quickly the most futuristic concepts would become obsolete.   One of my clearest memories of Audart is a conversation that took place at the back of the gallery in 1996.  Two of Wall Street’s dotcom entrepreneurs were having a conversation with my partner and I about the worldwide web.  Someone threw out the concept that the day might come when everyone felt secure enough to shop, for all their needs, via the internet, using credit cards.  The idea seemed so incredulous that we all laughed.
